STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ – Rivals and Backers
Fuse Games, the development team behind STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™, provide their top tips on how to make the most of the Rivals and Backers system.
Once you qualify for the Galactic League in the singleplayer campaign of Star Wars: Galactic Racer™, you’ll need to start choosing Backers and you’ll have the option to start a serious rivalry with a fellow league pilot.
In the Rivals and Backers video, Fuse Games’ Game Director Bill Lane and Music & Narrative Director Nathaniel Daw provide insight into how to maximize the Backers and Rivals system during your next run.
Backers are essential, as they provide you with the League Token that you need to take part in the tour, but they don’t come for free! You’ll need to complete contracts to keep your Backer happy and ensure they provide you with the resources you’ll need during your tour. Will you choose to be backed by Vranki, Sidon Ithano, or Q-33N?
When it comes to rivalries, your main antagonist in the campaign may be Kestar, but all of the other racing pilots have their own motives for wanting to beat you too. Certain decisions you make during your run may cause another pilot to escalate their rivalry against you, so choose your Rival carefully and get to know their racing style before putting a precious League Token on the line.

Whether you’re contracted by Vranki the Hutt to perform dazzling jumps to delight the crowd or you’re nursing a growing rivalry with the cantankerous Crocin Biddy Blas, the Rivals and Backers system ensures that no two runs are ever the same and adds an extra layer of complexity to your Star Wars™ racing adventure.
